A trek to the Tungnath Temple through spectacular beauty of Chopta, Uttarakhand

Chopta, a beautiful place in the mountains of Garhwal Uttarakhand and doorway to the Tungnath Temple which is 3.55 KM far from Chopta. Chopta offers amazing views of the Himalayan range including Trishul,  Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba peaks. Chopta can be reached by via Ukhimath or Gopeshwar.

Here I am sharing some of the beautiful pictures of the Himalaya peaks, I have taken from Chopta and while trekking towards the Tungnath Temple:

Trekking to the Tungnath Temple is very famous among the travelers around the world due to beauty and purity of this place. Here I met some tourists from Belgium trekking towards Tungnath Temple.

Now, this the Final Destination of the Trek: The Tungnath Temple. Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is one of the five and the highest Panch Kedar temples located at an altitude of 3,680 m (12,073 ft). This place is just awesome.

These are the beautiful Rhododendrons visible all over Chopta, also called 'Bunras' in Garhwal. This picture was taken while coming back to Chopta from the Trek.
